Soozie is a womenswear designer currently residing in Los Angeles, CA.
Hailing from New York, Soozie studied Fashion Design at Parsons the New School of Design. During her studies she gained a lot of knowledge of the industry by interning at prestigious fashion houses like Oscar de la Renta, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Prabal Gurung. From there she went on to freelance in NY, designing for Helmut Lang and Charlotte Brody. In 2011, she moved to California where she began to design for an eclectic Bohemian line called Of Two Minds. After a year, she moved on to design for BCBG Max Azria, obtaining deeper knowledge in developing sweaters. From there she designed at Nasty Gal for 2 years. Currently Soozie is the sole designer for a new brand that has recently been acquired by Revolve Clothing called NBD.
Soozie's aesthetic is an embodiment of blending opposing influences. She strives to find the perfect balance of femininity and masculinity to create a classically edgy look. With body conscious lines and sheer inserts, she designs for confident, inspiring, self empowered women. With her steep knowledge of clothing construction, fabric manipulation, textiles, and technical design, she is able to deliver a wide range of designs. Soozie's strong background of fashion education and trend analysis allow her to develop innovative and timeless pieces.
